Who we are

Maker Craft Inc. (“MakerCraft”) is a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 86-2095997, based in Sedona, Arizona. This policy covers the makercraft.org website.

Information you give us

When you submit a contact or inquiry form, we receive the fields you fill in: your first and last name, email address, the type of inquiry, your message, and optionally your phone number and organization.

When you make a donation, we receive the amount you chose. We do not receive or store your card number, CVC, or bank details at any point.

Information collected automatically

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and runs no third-party tracking or ad-network scripts. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and request metadata, for security and reliability.

Our forms include two anti-spam measures: a hidden field that humans never see, and a timestamp recording when the form was displayed so we can reject submissions completed faster than a person could type. Neither is used to profile you.

Payment processors

Card donations are handled by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. Donations from a donor-advised fund are handled by Chariot (DAFpay). Each processes your payment details under its own privacy policy and its own security controls. MakerCraft receives a confirmation and the donation amount, not your payment credentials.

How we use and store your information

Inquiry details are recorded in our internal Notion workspace, which acts as our donor and partner record, and may trigger an internal notification so we can respond promptly. Donation records are used to send your acknowledgment and to meet our recordkeeping obligations as a charity.

We use your information to reply to you, to acknowledge and administer gifts, and to keep required nonprofit records. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Email from us

If you donate, we send a donation acknowledgment for your tax records. If you contact us, we reply to your message. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and any newsletter we later offer will include an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Donation records are retained as long as charitable recordkeeping and tax rules require. Inquiry records are kept while the relationship is active and removed on request, unless we are required to keep them.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email damon@makercraft.org and we will respond within 30 days. Some donation records must be retained even after a deletion request.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
