Impact & Roadmap

From One Shop to a National Network

MakerCraft is in its foundation phase, building the model that scales. Here's where we are and where we're headed.

How We Measure Impact

MakerCraft succeeds when the nonprofit creates consistent supply, the platform enables connection, the for-profit captures value, and media amplifies impact.

People Trained

Individuals who complete hands-on maker education through The School and gain real, marketable skills.

Maker Income

Revenue earned by makers selling through The Shop, the online marketplace, and their own storefronts.

Marketplace Volume

Total products listed and sold across all channels, reflecting the ecosystem's productive output.

Community Growth

Active makers, app users, and community members engaging with the ecosystem and each other.

Scaling Phases

A deliberate path from one location to a distributed maker network.

Phase 1: Local

Single Location, Sedona AZ

  • First maker space with 6 shops and 4 studios
  • Pilot cohorts: homeless adults, veterans, career changers
  • Nonprofit positioning, board development, grant pipeline
  • MVP app launch and early community building
  • First makers trained, first products sold through The Shop
Phase 2: Regional

Multiple Sites, Marketplace Growth

  • Second and third maker spaces in Central Florida
  • Growing marketplace with proven maker success stories
  • Membership revenue and earned income at scale
  • Local sponsor and corporate partner relationships
  • Media arm producing maker stories and content
Phase 3: National

Platform-Led Scale

  • Replicable site model for new markets
  • National online marketplace and community
  • Premium certifications and digital subscriptions
  • B2B partnerships and fabrication-as-a-service
  • Competition show and expanded media presence
Phase 4: Global

Distributed Maker Network

  • International maker spaces and partnerships
  • Platform connecting makers across borders
  • Licensing and franchise model for global reach
  • The MakerCraft model as the standard for maker education
